Need some input regarding Koni Yellows

Post by Bdub »

Okay, I've figured out what I want finally for a setup.
Now, my only question is, with the KYB Gr-2's I have, replacements specifically for the Legacy, does it matter WHAT model of the Koni's I use, or are the KYB housings all the same?
I'm going to be using STi Pink springs USDM from a wrx (I already have the Impreza perches because I'm running 04 wrx springs now), so I was going to use the numbers of the cartridges from the 02-05 wrx. Sound feasible?

I rarely worry about numbers, but these aren't cheap. So, I want to make sure I get something that is actually going to work. I

I've searched here, and I've found limited answers, with no follow up from the OP of the threads of course. So, in general I'm just piecing together like 6 threads worth of information.

i would e-mail koni about it.

otherwise their catalog has different part numbers depending on the manufacturer of the struts. I think your best bet would be to buy konis made for oem kybs.

Thanks, contacting them is probably my best bet.
The numbers I have are for use with the OE KYB's. Now, I'm not sure how different the KYB replacements strut housings are from the OEMs, that is my only concern.
