lets say i have 250-400hp. will an 92 turbo legacy automatic or 5sp last "longer" and by 5sp none that came from a wrx, just basic 5spd's. and driving style would be rare-hard slamming/ high rpm shifts, maby just "gettin on the throttle easily"

IPT does phase 2 transmissions, which ultimately are not desirable when it comes to a performance automatic. 250-400 whp is quite a range in power capability too.
With computer control, a phase one subaru automatic can be made to support 700+ whp. With a full manual valve body, 1000+ whp is achievable. It costs some good coin, but nowhere near what it costs to have BMS Transmissions send you a unit from AU.
