Hi Gang,
I am seeking to change the rear struts of my 91 Legacy L. From
KYB's web site, I got the following info:
SHOCKS, GAS MIDRANGE, REAR
KYB 341063 [GR-2 Gas Rear Shock] Right & Left Hand (2 W/D Sedan)
SHOCKS, GAS SPECIALTY/PERFORMANCE, REAR
KYB 235071 [REAR STRUT ASSEMBLY] GR2; RIGHT HAND; 2 W/D
KYB 235072 [REAR STRUT ASSEMBLY] GR2; LEFT HAND; 2 W/D
I am just wondering which one will fit. Does anyone know it?
Thanks.
Chen

Do you have a FWD?
The 235071, & 235072 seem to be the right numbers.....if my brain
remembers. This is assuming you have a FWD sedan.
If you can wait until friday I can take a look at my struts when
I get back in town and check those numbers against what I'm running.

Hey chen..
You do know you can mount the AGX's if you just swap out your rear tophats for
ones from a 92. the front should install with out any change.
To be a bit more clear with that statement.. you would buy:
4 KYB AGX's for a 92 sedan/wgn (depending on what you have)
and buy 2, 92 rear tophats from a parts store..or scrap from junkyard. (i picked mine
up for 12 bucks for the pair at ez-pull)
and install acordingly.. TRI-TUNING did it for me before they went under for my 91
wagon.

So David,
The larger top hats fit fine.....they're not too big?
That was my only concern or issue with getting the AGX's.
Also.....the AGX's will probably not work if you have FWD only...
..as the struts will be different height because of where they mount
to the car.

Tri-tuning didn't have any problem with the install.. I didn't notice any diferance
Mine is FWD,,,again no problems.. my only suggestion is do not run AGX with stock
springs.. Ebiach makes a set that not to expensive i think i paid 250 for the whole
car.. and they work great..

parts...
i went to subaruparts.com... entereed them in and got $163...
might want to go that way...
i know they are expensive, but you have to get out of the honda/chevy state of mind and think more mercedes/audi...
subaru only sells 1/5th of the cars the big guys do and therefore the parts are more expensive.
