He ran a GT3076R twin scroll before that, and we were dead even at stoplight shenannigans. Both were with a 3" DP.
The 3" DP shouldn't affect the output that much with smaller turbos, especially with a low restriction exhaust after that. I've just seen too many cars limited to 300-315whp with N/A cams. Cars that have have everything else worked over and a turbo that should support much more HP at their level of tune. A T28 made 300 whp and a GT3076R (different car) made 315 whp. The tuner( Phil, from Element Tuning) said he simply ran into a wall at that point. The exhaust was adequate, so were the other supporting mods. He was scratching his head, and so was I at the time.
It is all speculation at this point. I will, however, be using some form of phase one turbo cams before I rework my pipe set once again for this GT4088 AVNT. I could have done a lot of stuff in the last few weeks, but I'm not dropping the motor in the car until I have turbo cams. Being momentarily broke doesn't help the matter. In one month I'll be good to go.
I'd love to order up some Kelford 282's, but those plus a necessary valvetrain gets spendy real quick. I'll save that for when I graduate in May and pursue a sleeved 2.65L with baller heads.

Delta does quality work. One of their grinds requires springs, IIRC.
Otherwise any phase one cams from any EJ20G/H/K will also work.
As far as new aftermarket, Kelford is the only company I've found to still make cams for phase one heads and they're $1100, plus you'd need springs and valves.

I'm jealous of the push-loc lines and fittings. If I were to do it over again, I would go that route.
What rails are those that appear to be running top feed injectors? I've been eyeballing the Outfront Motorsport rails for 25D heads, but I might not end up needing them if I go to wildly ported WRX heads down the road though. I can't run corn on this thing due to being stuck around 900 cc/min at 43psi, and I really don't want to test Eagle rods.

Not true. He needs a cam for the shimmed heads designed for an Ej20K. Ej20G cams don't work in the Ej25D heads, with the exception of the one year only early HLA EJ25D heads. Those heads ONLY take an Ej20G cam. All other Ej25D's need Ej20K cams.93forestpearl wrote:Any phase 1 turbo cam will work.

I'll be pushing about 1200cc of fuel per hole once the secondaries are active. It will have the 525s as primaries and two of those new 2200cc bosch units. Low impedance 950s won't work with any of this, which is what it currently has. (edit:) The rails were custom made several years ago. I wish I could use the new Bosch units in this manifold but I can't. The bosses are far too large, like sidefeed bosses.
It's time to build a little test stand for a PP6 unit. I need to get a 110/12v converter that I can just plug in downstairs and use as a power source. Any suggestions?

If you do this, make sure you hook up an old hard drive to the power supply. Without any load on it, the voltage can vary a little. Also, I'd suggest an older style AT power supply with a push button on/off vs the newer ATX style.Binford wrote:ImprezaRSC wrote:It's time to build a little test stand for a PP6 unit.
