I ran straight pipe for awhile. Never got pulled over, but then I live in a area with many Harleys, biker bars, and Hicks with big trucks and no muffler either.
I was still really paranoid though. My decision to go no muffler coincided with the local constables decision to set up a multiple patrol car, 2 mile long speed trap on the stretch of US 19 I live on. Needless to say I was terrified to go a mph over the speed limit or go over 3k rpms for 3 weeks until I got a used Nakayama racing fart can. Huge exhaust tip, but it does sound nice now.
Full 3" w/ no muffler???
