What's with the hate?
I'll let you in on a little something.....
No top driver has any real affiliation for any brand or car. They want to drive and they want to win. Simple as that. That's what makes them great at thier sport. They will do or drive whatever they have to to keep racing. Colin was driving a Focus for many years. IIRC, he finished his career in a Pugeot. Petter Solberg funded his own team, with a 3 year old Citroen, this last year just to keep racing.
Top competitors have no allegiances, it impedes them from being top competitors. Any indication otherwise is just clever marketing by thier employers. Any allegiance thay might have had when starting out is long gone by the time they get "really good".
Now that being said....Ken Block, IMO, is not a top competitor. He is a self promoter, and obviously a pretty good one. Maybe with enough seat time and cash he could be pretty good, but WRC is filled with guys that have been doing this since thier early teens or younger. Very tough crowd to break into.
