Post by Boostedballs »

Does anyone know if WRX front and rear seats will fit into a Legacy? I know thew door cards won't.

Bolt right in. '02-03 are slightly lower, better fit. You have to change over the seatbelt recievers to the Legacy ones.

you don't need to, they are (like all other modern Subaru seats) just bolt on.

IIRC, the rear seat may need some minor tweaking.

Here's mine. '05 WRX. I cut a few inches out of the seatbelt receiver shaft, and had it welded back together so they don't stick up so far.,

yea the rear seats required a little bit of hammering. The little metal "brackets" that hold the bottom part of the seat to the vertical part of the carpet, those needed hammered a little bit over, but nothing major at all. Good luck and keep us updated!

There's a few threads around about this

Here's mine, with manual belt conversion.

I just drove to California and back, and yes these seats are MUCH more supportive than the stock seats.

FWIW, I finally got some in-car video of me during an Auto-X and I knew I slid a little in the seat but figured I was okay - wow, the amount your bottom kicks over in the corners is pretty dramatic. The stock seats definately do not hold you very tight. I'll see if I can find the video to give you a clear idea of what I mean by dramatic.

So if you're interested in pushing the car in the corners, I'd fully recommend upgrading the seats.

Before I had my rails modified, with the WRX seat at its lowest position my head hit the headliner. I am 5'11". It has to do with your height from your butt seat to the top of your head while you are sitting in the seat.

I can't wait to do the swap! My little arse slides all over when I throw it into corners. Stock fells about like a bench seat for me. blah!

these days I drive a lot of cars with race buckets practically mounted to the floor, and i'm really getting sick of how high my wrx seats sit.

Hey all, i'm looking into some 06 wrx seats, front and rear and door cards. Door cards won't fit? As i read above. Also noticed that all the swaps ^ are from 05 and lower? Will the 06 fit? How are they height wise? I'm concerned because im 6'-6'1". But yeah i am looking for support. My interior is in real nice shape if anybody is interested. All black leather.

I got the WRX seats and I love the feel of the driver seat. It's little high but manageable.

The rear seats didn't fit worth a crap! I opted to not use them. They are now for sale. They don't fold down. I'm always hauling lumber and stuff, so I need the fold down style.

I'm 5'10". I have plenty of room because I have no padding on my arse.
The back seats do fit but they need some bending on the bottom of the seat back. There are two holes in the seat frame to mount in the middle lower are but our cars only have one threaded hole. Don't drill a second hole because the fuel cell is right there!

my 03 WRX rear seats went in without modification. sometimes I miss the 60/40 but the skis and snowboard fit thru the middle pass-thru just fine, and it is really nice to still be able to have 3 passengers with the skis.

I'm 6'2" but when sitting I am 'shorter' than my dad who is 5'10". I'm all legs, so I can still fit with a helmet on. But I do feel the same as Jamal and if I autoX this car in the future I will be putting buckets in on Sundays.
