94 Touring Wagon tranny issue

Post by 94TurboWagon »

This this started last night. 195k miles on car. When starting from a dead stop and accelerating normally or even slower than normal, tranny is not shifting until 3500-4000 rpm. This seems to be the only issue at the moment. Once up to speed and on freeway I am at normal rpm. Fluid is crystal clear changed with internal filter at 150k and added external filter on frame rail as well. Using MObil 1 synthetic ATF and sythentic gear oil in diffs. Any ideas if its a major issue or something simple like replacing a solenoid. Thanks for your opinions and ideas.

Maybe a bad throttle position sensor?

You could also try resetting the tcu by unplugging the battery for 30mins or so.
