Wagon Rear Strut Bars

Post by TonyAWD »

Hows it going guys?

Anyway, I'm looking into getting the Front/Rear strut bar combo for my 94 Legacy Wagon. I have read around and it seems that GF8 Impreza rear bars will fit on a BF Legacy. Now, what confuses me is that are GC8 rear bars the same as GF8 ones? If someone could clear this up it would be great!

Thanks in advance.

This is not what you asked but I used a rear strut bar that is specifically designed for the wagon and it worked great :)

Same as here http://legacycentral.org/library/brace.htm

Thanks.

Upon some further research, i found a Whiteline one for our wagons.
I'm a very happy camper. I was looking for that same Cusco one but I came across the Whiteline one first.

I'm using a cheapo set from Ebay designed for the GC8 impreza. The rear bolted right on, but these are adjustable in length don't think it really matters though. I did have to trim some plastic to get it to fit just right.

The early imprezas where effectively shortened/Lightened Legacys. The length and bolt pattern SHOULD be correct. Thats not to say that impreza Strut bars will clear everything on a Legacy.
