SiCkSTi04's 1992 Black Legacy SS! ^Updated 12/13^
after months of searching, i knew finding a SS in south florida would be slim to none. my girlfriend and i knew exactly what bday present i wanted
Driving the car home from out of state was a blast! after getting back, i soon gave some TLC to the interior (very little work) and a 9 hour detail to the paint as it needed it! ^_^ most of the rims paint is gone lol, normal dings and one big dent to the left passenger door, the only thing that isnt stock is the muffler which gives it a nice rumble. plans are still in the works. on to the pictures!

What's the "p" for in OBP? I thought it was OBS? I like outback sports. Always wanted one. Especially back when I used to think they came in a turbo model because of the scoop lolz.

Nice ride, may I ask what state you found it in, Georgia perhaps? I've seen a turbo wagon for sale in JAX a couple years ago but that was the last one I've seen in Florida. When I got mine I actually found it right across the road from where I work, talk about lucky!

Congratulations! I spend 6 months looking for a 90-91 5mt SS that wasn't thrashed to hell and gone!
Though I will say I will NEVER regret buying angel. Fell in love the fist second I saw her.
Treat her well and she will take care of you!
Have you named her or arnt you the type?

Nice car!!! I have actually only seen one black sport sedan in my entire life. It was driving around Asheville for one day and I have yet to see it again. Very cool color! I personally thought it was the sharpest color I had ever seen one in. Are you going to refinish the original wheels? Mine looked exactly like that when I got my '91. I did a good weekend's worth of work and had them looking amazing. I like them better than aftermarket wheels, but that's my taste. You rarely see other people refinish the original wheels. Some scotchbrite pads, "aircraft stripper" and elbow grease later, I used "Spraymax" clear coat which is a canned spray paint with hardener in it just like acrylic enamel. I painted the color with Eastwood's argent silver just like they use on most American muscle car wheels. The end result has lasted a couple of years now without problems and actually is just as good as what you can produce with a spray gun. Just a suggestion. I put a picture of my car with the refinished wheels. Now I wish mine was black Very cool car!

I forgot to mention how easy it was to simply scuff the wheel centers with that Scotchbrite and spray on 2 coats of a dark gray metallic Duplicolor touch up paint. I used the Spraymax clear on them too, and I probably only had about an hour in the wheel centers. The paint on them is very hard and shiny.
Hey Drew, i do plan on restoring them myself so your tips will help for sure. Either going to paint them to close to the stock gray (do you have any more close up wheel pictures?) or BBS Gold like my STi whats funny is i always told myself that i wasn't going to own an other black car again lol

Ericem--thanks! I appreciate the comment! SiCkSTi04--I will be sure to get you some close up wheel pics so that you can get a good idea of what they look like. By the way, here is a link to the clear coat that I used. Awesome stuff, I have no idea why you never hear of anyone using it!! Nice Sti by the way too!
