had fun, awesome weather saturday eh. good to see you again john.
i think most of those drivers forgot that the gas pedal goes down all the way.
saw an off, it was that green mk2 golf. i think he early apexed and just kinda went into the ditch, no harm done and the white xr4ti stopped to pull him out along with a few of us pushing.

Hey John, I sent you a text earlier today around 8am probably. My friend's and I went to the rally and I called in to work :) We came up there in a line of ATVs. I think there were 7 quads and 3 rzr's. I don't own a quad so I was borrowing someone's Artic Cat and that thing was as slow as can be lol. If you were coming from the beginning of the course we were parked right after you come out in the clearing and around that first corner and you can see pretty far. There was a couple tents set up and we were grilling fish, oysters, polish dogs and hot dogs and drinkin busch.

It was pretty fun. My first rally like I was telling you. I saw a couple legacy's but I think one wasn't in the race and was wondering if maybe it was yours but I think you said you had a 94 and this was a grey 91.

I hate to say it but the fastest car through that section had to be the Honda CRX! That car was flyin. I didn't see him come back through though. I've got some pictures on my phone. They're probably not great once they're on pc but I'll try to get them up.

I guess I saw 3 91 legacys.

One was grey and I didn't get a picture of it. These pictures are terrible but the phone is over 2 years old.

I didn't have cell phone working out there. Got the message after I left the awards banquet in Oakville, and couldn't figure out the message. Thought it was a wrong number. I was at the east end of that at stage about 7:30 am before we went out on the course. and a bunch of quads came through to go set up at the spectator area. After the first run did you go to the Brooklyn Tavern, because a slug of those things went by. I was working an access road west of where you were spectating, in the middle of a long straight. I had my Wintergreen colored '00 Outback. Some spectators left their fires burning when they left, we put them out. Could have started a forest fire, and that would have been the end of rally in that area. Some sub human was mooning people as they drove by.

Yeah several of us went down to the bar after they opened the road up when the cars were finished coming down. I think I may have seen your outback.

I'm not sure who left the fire going but I doubt it was any of our group. We had our fire in a metal barrel cut in half on it's side with a grill on top. When I left most of them were still there drinking. You can see a fire going in those pictures but that's a different group of people and I think that one may have been on the ground. There was also another fire going on the way to the bar right around the corner on the hillside.

I'm pretty sure I saw your group enter the stage from the east end around 7:30-8 am. I remember a truck with a barrel in it. I knew it wasn't your group who left the fires. Those people with the big yellow truck, just east of you, were still there when I left and did have a fire, and the moonie. The fires that were left burning were west of where you were, like you said.

yeah he was tearin it up, too bad nobody else was pinnin it. that car was clean and had some funny stuff on it like a carved wooden hood ornament with hemp for hair, and a vent off of like a wall mount AC unit as hood louvres. :-D
other favorites were the cortina(of course), the orange '76 volvo 242, and that merkur. even though he was going slow it was a cool car and he must have been a hell of a nice guy since he stopped to yank the golf out of the ditch.

Yeah at first that guy in the yellow truck over there on the corner was parked right on the corner where all the rocks would be spraying the whole side of his truck. I think he moved it though. Smart move.

You wouldn't believe how many vehicles tried to fit up in that little off-road we spectating from! Big ass lifted ford supercab on like 38's somehow squeezed up that road between our tents and the RZR's parked there. I spotted a little white metro up there and I wished I had driven my 98 metro hatch up there too!

I'm told the pros are coming next month? I may come check that one out too.
