Rotating Pictures - New Style

All previous rotating pictures are now defunct. The new style allows for much more space, and we're going to take advantage of it.

Here is how to submit your image for use in the rotating banner:

Image must be at least 950px wide and 180px tall, preferably larger so there's some room to work with.

The transparent grey box will be incorporated into the final image, so keep that in mind. Getting a picture where your car is NOT filling the entire frame would be best, and if it's in the left half it would work even better. Taking a picture from a distance is necessary if you want your entire car in frame. Example:

Do we want to have them put their username text on as well like last time?

I'm going to have to manually do all of these, so it's not going to be as flamboyant or expressive as it was in the past. Usernames will (probably) all be the same size and in the same spot, likely in a corner with the same kind of shaded block as the forum name and description.

This is probably the best way to maintain a homologous look while getting a picture up there

Well....none of the pictures I have will really work....They're all mostly too zoomed into the car. Guess I'll have to take some more...hahaha

A little cropping never hurt, but for the best fit, one from a bit of a distance is best.

yep..the only non zoomed in pic my car is on the right half..would that work?

if your car is on the wrong side you could just mirror the image. you might be able to tell that a badge or text is backwards, but i don't think most people would even notice.

Is there a image file size restriction like before on this new size? I'd imagine you are having to photochop these up so you will be able to compress on your end but I thought I'd ask.

I'm not nearly as concerned about image size as before. I am actually not using Photoshop, but Paint.NET, as it's far simpler (and cheaper).

All I need is an image that's at least as large as the dimensions in the first post. I'll take care of the rest.

From what I can tell all the pictures currently in rotation are around 30k. I made mine higher quality so you could add the grey boxes and then compress it.

Emailing Dave a copy of the photo flipped has been on my to-do list for weeks but I'm just getting to it now. I haven't seen my pic come up in rotation so I assume DLC hasn't had the chance to do my job for me.
