An Oil-Barge capable of holding 100,000 barrels of Oil and transversing International waters.

Today the last of the workforce was layed off but with good news. The client was more than happy with the product and has given us another contract so we will be back in the swing of things in one to two months.

And yes, Racoons. We had a family of Raccoons living somewhere near the facility. Their presence was noticable enough I felt they needed to be represented. (Dude! WTF? Who took my potato chips?)

How long is that sucker? Shit, how do they launch it—that's not a dry dock?

Dont have the actual figures but off the top of my head using numbers I recall Im going to say 700 foot long by 75 wide.

It is not in a dry dock. It is built in modules in a giant structure. then the modules are moved out and positioned on the "buildway" (Where it is pictured above). The modules are then welded together. Once complete a temporary rail system is build under it. It is placed on giant slides (like ice skate blades) and pushed across a series of oil covered Tephlon plates using a set of Gignormous Hydraulic rams. It is moved one food at a time onto the dry-dock. Keel blocks are placed below it and the rail system removed. the dry-dock is then submerged and BAM! you have a barge!
