Lots-O-Wheel Spin in 4WD on my 94LS

Post by ChickN »

So yesterday i went snowboarding up at mt hood and of coarse i had to play around in the subie...towards the end of the drift session she started getting stuck in about 6 inches of snow...got unstuck and started heading down the mt when the car starts pushing real bad in corners...then almost sending me off a cliff(having a false sense of confidence in my 4wd)...now i notice a bunch of wheel spin as if i were in fwd....could have i burnt up something???....its pretty rough(and loud) when i blew out a pinion in my toyota....what could be causing this??? FWD F*%#$$G sucks...help please!!! :|

note:the car does not drive any different than it did before!

It sounds like your center diff is no longer working. I assume you dont have an LSD and if so jack up the entire drivers side of the car and have a helper with you. put the car in 1 and let the wheels spin while using the parking brake to stop the rear wheels. If the front is still spinning... yeah
