Sooo.... I'm sick of mega super awful understeer and bumpy no strut suspension...
I'm getting the struts and lowering springs taken care of...
And now I need to figure what to do about sway bars...
I've been reading through some threads on sway bars and have come to the conclusion that you want to upgrade both front and rear but want to make the rear bigger... Am I right?
Now when it comes to fitment.... WRX Fronts fit right? I believe thats what I read...
Now for the rear you either have to run a swaybar specifically for a Legacy OR cut off the little bump and run a GC rear bar... Am I correct?
So if I run a 20mm front sway and a 22mm rear sway, would that, in combination with a rear lsd and more powahhh make the tail slide nicely?
Just trying to get a feel for how I wanna do this. This car handle like shit and I need to get it handling good.
Any reviews on your guy's setups? Any suggestions?

Re: Upgrading Sway Bars
The rear sway will have a larger effect on over/understeer.
On my DD I have a Whiteline adj. on the rear and a T-leg on the front. It handles nicely and is pretty neutral w/ the rear set on the 'softest' setting, and has enough oversteer on the 'hardest' setting to require attention during sprited on-ramping in the rain.

Re: Upgrading Sway Bars
Honestly I don't remember. But it is the adjustable one. I think they list it as 20/22/24mm.

Yeah, that's the one. I've got that same bar in the rear with the WL 20 mm in the front. I like 'em. The rear makes the biggest difference.

Re: Upgrading Sway Bars
The WRX wagon front bar fits, I don't believe the sedan does. I have the wagon bar on mine and I love it. Don't have a rear yet though.
And since this is a month old I'll throw in a question, to put a 92-99 sway bar on my 91 I just need to swap lateral links? Is that correct?

Re: Upgrading Sway Bars
Nice, do you happen to know what links from other models would fit? I want the 22mm and I don't want to break anything. Finding what suspension fits what in this forum is a PITA! All the info seems to be there but it's hard to find.gijonas wrote:Ya,the end link setup is different for some reason is all.I just need to swap lateral links?
