I'm looking at buying these heads from a possibly 96 EJ22 to replace the 22t heads on the car now. Which EJ22 engine would this be? Is it going to be a phase II, or were those around later? Those





One other thing, is what looks like severe pitting in the water jacket area on those heads. Any advice? I have emailed the guy back to see what it actually is in the pictures.




Either way, it looks like they might actually be from a '97 if they have the roller rockers on them. Is this correct?

I'd go right ahead and not look at those ever again.

Yeah....I'd probably pass as well. They look like they've seen better days.

If they were the newer ej22 heads, they'd have single port exhaust.

I think my 250k mile EJ22 heads look nicer than those.

Yeah I've got a pair of 92 heads that look better than that and I'm just trying to get rid of them for like $40. But I don't want to ship them because they're heavy as hell and a pain in the ass to package.
