Incredible! That lightning is unbelievable. Reminds me of the day I was born—forged by lightning in the depths of a volcano.

Those pictures are amazing!!!! My Fiancee has family in Iceland and been there twice! We hope to get back there again someday.

so how is the lightning created? just by static discharge from all the ash or something. if only there could have been a subaru driving through it or something lol

No... I was living around the 25 mile line when Mt St Helens blew her top. Was there both times. My mothers place ended up being a refugee camp for people whos homes where destroyed.
