Travel to Japan. You will have to get the car as it is being parted out.
Otherwise, it will be next to impossible.

95% of the engines in Japan are not reduced to a short block, but are left as a longblock. That is why it is next to impossible to find the heads separated from the block.

I too have found a few rare spec-c parts, but the engines are kept whole.

ps thanx for the help. I am using a Holset he351 turbo(2006 ram 3500 h.o.), good for 500+hp for your info

Check the posts on which heads. You have a few options. 20G, 20K , RS 2.5's, etc etc
Beware of free large turbos.
I would check the specs and efficiency/range of the turbo BEFORE you try to use it.
You can get good easy to use turbos for subys for fairly cheap on a few forums.

OK, somehow I thought it was free. ( and I am still wary of putting a truck turbo meant for a truck engine on a Subaru)
Anyway.
I don't recommend people just jumping into the deepend with these cars and trying for huge HP numbers or low 12 to 11 quarter miles.
There are a few forum members who bought seriously modded cars and ended up with more than they bargained for.

for your sake, I hope you have quite a bit of Subaru tuning and performance experience under your belt.
( no offense) but your posts don't show if you do.

Even Jake who has a whole shop/dyno and the availability of parts is not trying for 11 sec on his 91.
( But to get there, he would/(will in time) have to do a STI swap with the full harness to give better tuning options)

IF you are going for all of this in a SS, I wish you luck. ( And would like to hear the progress)
If you are just using the 2.2 closed deck motor ( in another car) then I do not see an issue as long as you have tackled the tuning gremlins.

now do the math...a dodge is 5.9 liters and a subie is 2.2. The turbo will spool fully at 2500-3000 rpm....so lets race when Im done and well see who is smarter
Damn solid math in my book, look at the numbers just fall together

But seriously, theres a lot more to it than your "math" and no one here can explain it in one post.

If by other people you mean those who know better than I...yup i am one of those idiots.Go ahead and stick with your own revolutionary math, its obviously quite sound.

And i wasnt trying to get in on your pissing match, just trying to make it known that you example means very little....actually really nothing when real word variables are concerned.

You are = you're. "Your" is possessive. Just saying, if YOU'RE going to call someone an idiot, it doesn't look good for you to use the improper word in YOUR post.

My Frankenberry decoder ring estimates your age to be between 19-24,but possibly as young as 15.

I do that a lot myself, ive always looked at forum spelling and grammar as a whole different animal.

BTW WTF is happening on this forum?

As a writer, I may be more sensitive to it, but with casual conversation I usually cringe and move on. In this case, I took exception to him giving you shit. I understand sometimes things can be misunderstood and escalate into an argument, but it's particularly bad form to call someone an idiot and useless when they themselves haven't mastered the basics of a language I'd bet is their only one. Or, if I'm wrong, at least proof read! It's not a good way to be taken seriously or earn respect, but this forum is probably the least of the places that hasn't happened.

LOL, no. You are looking at 4-5k rpm. My GT2871R wasn't making 20 psi until about 4k. The GT3782 VNT from a 6.0 Powerstroke doesn't hit until about 5k on a 2.2L with the vanes open.

As previously mentioned, if you think you are going to make 500 hp because you have a big turbo, I've got news for you. You are opening up a $20k kettle of fish if you really want to make it happen and last. Do you really think you are going to tune that with a PP6? LOL. Your entire drivetrain needs help too. Much of the motor, fuel delivery system, and ignition system need to be addressed. A decent clutch that will hold said power will creep up near $1k, or $1600 if you want better drivability. Or if you have an auto, count on $3-4k for a computer controlled transmission that can hold it, or $5-6k if you want the full package.

Even then, these cars in highly modified form are finicky and maintenance heavy. Stuff breaks, things don't work as well as you planed, and the list goes on.

So, where does that leave us? If you want to talk smart and not give at least a little weight to advice from people who've traveled the road you want to follow, get lost. Seriously.
