Second Gen Legacy L with 5MT was 3.9 final drive. Should be tons of those out there.

92-94 non-turbo automatic legacies also had a 3.90 final drive ratio.

I think he meant to say AUTOMATIC non-turbos have 3.90 gears. 5MT's have 4.11 gears.

Yes, I meant to say 92-94 non-turbo automatics have 3.90 final drive.

Chances are it's not the original tranny. I've run across 92 Legacy autos that are 3.90, and that does coincide with what is in the parts book.

I just came back from 3 junk yards in the Denver Metro area...and did not find any 91-94 Automatic non turbo legacys with 3.90's. All had 4.11's.

Not sure what to say. As I said, only the 92-94 non-turbo AT's are listed in the parts catalog as having a 3.90 final drive ratio. The 90-91 non-turbo AT's are listed as having a 4.11 final drive ratio.

Supposedly (89) 90 - 91 is often different across trim levels... But 92-94 NA AT should be uniform at 3.9, MT at 4.11.
