94 wagon pneumatic questions

Post by FujiFast »

ive just picked up a 94 n/a wagon a.t. and it came with that dammed pneumatic suspension. im looking to get a little more height out of the car so i wanted to change out the struts and shocks. the pneumatic stuff had all been disconnected but im wondering what options do i have as far as shocks and struts. I was thinking the 97 outback stuff might fit?

Welcome to the BBS.

You should be able to use the mid-late 90's Outback struts & springs to get a little more ground clearance. There's a few people that have done this. You can probably find a few more details by searching.

Honestly, I don't know how much lift is provided with the outback struts & springs. If you want more lift, a cheap option is spring helpers that sit in between the coils. I'm not sure how well that will work. There is a company in Australia that sells lift kits http://www.scorpionsubaru.com/

I think there's a few resellers here in the states.

If using the Outback suspension, I recommend the crossmember spacers that come with to keep your suspension geometry in check.
