In Seattle, will fix subies for housing.

Post by vica153 »

I just moved out to Seattle and I'm looking for a apartment/house to rent. I'd like to find a place where I can work on my car and most apartment complexes frown upon even opening the hood.

I'd really like to find a room in a house with a garage. Inhabitants with a subaru fetish would be a plus. Anywhere near the north side of Seattle would work.

Well, i'm looking at getting a house and will need a roomate, its a 3 bed 2 bath with a 2 car garage and a paved RV parking spot, but its not north seattle, its on the corners of Kent, Covington, and Maple valley. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=47.385493 ... 18&iwloc=A

That would be an hour commute without any traffic, which is a bit much for me. Thanks for looking out tho.

Only one crappy phone pic right now. Still getting everything sorted out with the insurance. I'll hopefully be able to get it back next week if I can find a place to store it.

It really isn't smashed too bad. It would need: new bumpers, hood, headlights, trunk, and front fenders. A little work unbending the upper rad support beam. All that is going to run a lot more than the car is worth. Hopefully I'm going to be able to take this opportunity to swap everything into an impreza wagon.

I need to pull the engine and rear diff and I figure I'll get the trans while I'm at it. I've only been out here 2 weeks, so I don't have a place of my own even yet, much less a place where I can pull an engine. A shop would probably charge $500 to do it, so I'd pay anyone in the Seattle area to let me borrow their yard/garage/engine hoist to get it done.
