201,000 mile tune up questions.

Post by FujiFast »

well Ive never have the pleasure of working on a Subaru so this will be my first time so i was basically wondering what kind of things typically go wrong at around 200000 miles on our cars? Im planing on doing the timing belt this weekend if i can. any pointers or suggestions?

Do you know what was done previously? That may help determine what needs to be done now.

If you're doing the timing belt, I'd suggest doing the water pump as well, and checking the idler pullies to make sure the bearings are still good.

Here's scans from the factory manual on the timing belt
