Wow, that's . . . very green. I kind of like it, though.
I've seen a bunch of trailers done like that with other cars. Shouldn't be too difficult with a wagon. Probably not the lightest route to take. Or most aerodynamic, though if you pulled it behind another wagon, it shouldn't be too bad.

Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

heres my fast copy paste job in paint

i would just build a firewall and weld the doors shut, heck wire the windows into a switch so you can get into the front.

Re: i so wana try this
hmmm if i get this place in kent i just might do it, just will need a doner car, something wrecked in the front, then do i keep the rear suspension or just replace it with a trailer axle. hehe maybe make a few and sell them online, have a few versions, outback, legacy, baja?

Baja? Those things are already rare. That brat trailer is kickass though.

Re: i so wana try this
thats why i think a baja would be a best seller, i've seen them in lynnwood pull-a-part twice. hehe how about a WRX or STI sedan back half with the trunk as a BBQ?

I'm diggin the BBQ idea but how would you use the rest of the car? A hatch makes sense because the rear opens up access to the whole thing. A sedan doesn't sound very functional aside from the BBQ in the trunk.

the top of the firewall would fold down for getting into the storage or the doors could still open. what i'm thinking is cut the body right at the front of the door pillars then making a firewall (bulkhead) to cover the opening, then putting a truck rear window into it so you can kinda see though it. if i still had my wicom tablet i could draw it, but in my head it looks good lolol

Re: i so wana try this
Is it a roll down rear truck window? Those are sick. I really wanted to put one in the back of my 89 toyota pickup. I was going to attempt to put the electric window from the back of a 4runner in the back of my pickup but was told it would be pretty damn hard and probably wouldn't fit. Plus I have no fabrication experience. My brother got one of the new nissan titans and it's got the electric back window and it's sweet.

sure why not, if someone wanted to pay alittle more, just have to hit pull-a-part

It's just a trailer like a u haul or something, the bbq comes out too, he also has an engine hoist/holder/whatever that can go back there, or just empty to haul stuff.kimokalihi wrote:I'm diggin the BBQ idea but how would you use the rest of the car? Re: i so wana try this
I hope you're handy with a welder, because a trailer like that will be A LOT of fabrication if you want to do it right. Unit-body cars were never meant to do that, so it will take a significant amount of sheetmetal fabrication.
Good luck with your project. I look forward to seeing it.
