MBC Hallmans Need help information about the screw
hello today i just notice that i lost the bolt "screw" that neeed to be turn to raise psi
what i need to know is where i can find replacement or the lenght and diameter so i can find some sort of replacement
thx in advance
also to anyone who thinking getting this mbc i would recomment to make it to the scrw face up the top so you wont lost it like i did

Is this a Hallman ES? If so, it looks like there is a jam nut there to lock the adjustment knob so it does not move. If it is a Hallman Pro, then the knob does not come off.
I'm sure they would sell you a new part if you called them.

yeah that the ES with the lock but i lost both
the same as in the how to in this forum
so i a remplacement i need to know the lenght of the bolt without the black handle "round"
so i can fabricate one.
if you need picture let me know

Your best bet is to take off the part and go to your local bolt
& screw supply. You can even find the right bolt/nut combo at home depot or lowes, hell, even true value. All of those places have a metric section(usually in the big file drawers).
You can even buy a bolt diameter/thread count guide at any hardware store for about $5.00, then you'll always know what size/thread you have.

yeah i understand that but the thing is i dont know the lenght of the bolt and i dont have a boost gauge
i write to hallmans they can supply me the part for 15$+shipping i bit expensive : (i have so many other thing to do on the car

Why would you be messing with a boost controller if you don't have a boost gauge? That's pretty ridiculous.

good point here, this is something im working on the reason of the install was simply for testing i had so much a bad gas milleage
that i dedcide to give it a try to see if i could get something better, plus its not something really hard to adjust even if dont get the gauge.
still looking for a good gauge right now, just need funding i got hit and run and i have to do some bodywork and paint....

I have to agree that it could get really expensive blindly
adjusting boost without a gauge. I guess that turning DOWN your boost could give you a bit better gas milage, but I think keeping your foot out of the skinny pedal would be the best easiest cheapest way to get better gas mileage.

hi guy i need your help!
today i try to reinstall my selonoid, but i did not remember what hose go on the top side of the selonoid?
and what is the one at the bottom side.
wastegate actuor, intlet?
which is what!! i dont recall.
Also i would like to know if its a perfomance downgrade if i broke the pin on the resonator the one going to selonoid bottom
if anyone can tell me ill appreciate it a lot! i was on bbs outside with my latop\
trying to search for that at 34 degree celcius, i dint manage to find it
and now i have a big sunburn : (

The top port on the solenoid goes to the compressor
The middle port on the solenoid goes to the wastegate solenoid
The bottom port on the solenoid goes to the resonator box.

The bottom port is just a vent, so if you broke the port on the resonator box that it ties into it shouldn't be a huge issue, but if you can rig something up like putting a metal fitting in or epoxying the plastic fitting, that would be best.

ok so i just finish removing the mbc and put back the selonoid.

and i din't reused this!?
seem to wortk fine, no check engine or anything.
i have notice few thing, if you look on the picture of josh "the blue taped entrance"
that plastic thing that go in resonator too.
its crack on the two extremety




i have clean it with water and soap, my worry is. maybe it's still a very very small amount of water remain in that thing.
so i wonder is this can be harmful for the engine.
it's as so much oil on it, probably due to the leaking.

the interior cannot be much clean than mine.

I can't tell from the pictures what line wasn't being used any more. Any chance you can get bigger pictures?
Regarding the turbo inlet hose crack. You can try putting some silicone sealant or epoxy on it, but likely, it would be a good idea to replace it. That is not the pressurized side of the turbo, so it might last a little while longer.
Is the turbo intake hose the piece you cleaned with soap & water, or the turbo? The hose should dry out over night. If you have compressed air or a little can of computer duster, that may help as well.

the part i wash was the part that is crack, if you have the part number i am consedering getting a new one.
the resonator pin i glue it, but these are very very fragile, i brought it new and its arrive broken
mine was also broke when i got the car.
so the part i have clean that had so much oil was the turbo intel hose.
i tought it was only air going in this part since the resonator connect on this.
it was full of oil inside.
here the hose with the fitting one side as a smaller diameter going to the intlet,
but i just use a hose with the same diameter all the way.

That hose looks like the hose that goes from the compressor side of the turbo to the top port on the solenoid. The fitting is 1/4" ID on the turbo, and then it reduces down to a smaller size to go into the solenoid. I think that fitting is what that is from. The proper size hose should be whatever fits snuggly on the fittings. You will likely need that reducer to make the hose fit properly on the turbo compressor fitting and the top fitting for the BCS.
Yes that's the turbo inlet hose. The turbo inlet hose has oil in it because of the PCV system that dumps into it. The part # is 46023AA110
You can try resetting the ECU if you have problems. Shouldn't hurt.

The two lower ports are a little larger than the top one. I think the bigger ports accept 1/4" ID hose, and the smaller line, just look for vacuum line smaller than 1/4". You shouldn't have too many choices.
