Curious about compression ratios

Post by cj91legss »

So here's my setup. 22T block, Matching Cometic Head Gaskets 0.51 thickness, and 96 20H TT Heads. I was curious what the compression raio was.

I looked at the EJCALCS page and didn't see that setup on there.

Did you mean .051 vs. .51 thickness? Or is that mm vs. cm?

Most of the stock EJ turbos make 8-8.5 CR, from what I've seen online. From the EJCALCS "Custom Configurations" list this is probably closest to yours:

Thin SOHC head gasket
Block: MY91 EJ22T
Heads: MY98 EJ25
CR: 8.0:1

My EJ22T/EJ25D project (stock EJ22T HG) is in the 7.4:1 CR range, according to the chart. :(
