2.5 obw cat back on a 2.2 L wagon

I'm looking at a 2.2 L wagon and the muffler is shot will a later outback muffler fit? I have searched this to no avail. I am aware the phase 1 engines are also compatible with 2.5 headers but I'm not sure about the chassis.

It will likely be a little different due to how they changed the catalytic converter section, but an exhaust shop should be able to make it work.
