Help with freinds clutch pls

Post by Shaggy »

So my friend has a 90 sumthin izuzu pickup that is having clutch problems. There is no pressure on the clutch pedal and when u push it in it sticks to the floor. Prety much there is no cluth at all. It's a hydrolic clutch. The master cylinder is new and that is about it that I can think of. He thinks it's the slave cylinder and is going to order a new one. Anyone with any input would be appreciated.

Sounds like there is air in the line. Figure out how to bleed it properly and your friend might not need any new parts.

On a subaru this involves putting some clear tubing on the bleeder screw,
pushing and holding down the clutch pedal, opening up that screw to let fluid and air out, closing the screw and then releasing the pedal. Repeat 10x or until all the old fluid and bubbles are gone, taking care to refill the fluid reservoir so it doesn't go empty (and introduce air back into the lines).
