Highish compression EJ22T?

Post by Grayguy »

Has anyone built a 22t with like 9-9.5:1 compression? I'm trying to decide how to build the motor for my 97' LGT project...
92' SS: SOLD
98' 2.5GT SOLD, bought back, new stupid build in the works.
98' 2.5 GT-rx :bought not built

The higher the CR you go, the lower boost you'll be able to run. There's trade offs for each option. Maybe someone that has gone down that route can provide some further comments.

high boost + anything over 9:1 compression = race gas. under 20lbs + 9:1 compression is fine and better if meth is introduced.
