Assuming you guys are talking about what I think you're talking about, I don't think we need to worry... the situation's calmed down and has gone back to the technical discussion that we love so much...

Yes, I don't think there is reason to get so uptight over isolated instances. Especially one that resolved itself.

if it happened once it'll happen again. I'm all for expressing your opinion but there's a point where you have to be the bigger man and not say anything back. Like others said this isn't a place for spamming and trolling, we don't need that and I don't like reading it. If you want that there are tons of forums I could point you to. If it gets too frequent I doubt I'll be posting here. Don't take this as I'm full of myself or anything like that, but I dont like bad atmosphere.

I give kudos to all you folks. Being a newbie, I dont know of these bad posts you speak of. But online automotive forums, I am not a newbie at all. Go to www.vwvortex.com and you'll understand what I'm used to.

I think you guys should be proud of this forum. I've gone throughout this whole site, and am very impressed. I think everyone here conducts themselves in a very mature manner, and I look foreward to making it my daily visit. kinda weird, actually?

I agree, things are great now. It's also nice to let the memory fade so that anyone involved can feel accepted posting again. I just hope that once the picture is set of how we do things, any offenders or offended people can feel free to keep up in discussions on an accepted level of courtesy.

this thread makes me sad. The only other board ive ever contributed to eventually scared me away because of nazilike moderating. The board owner would delete any post he didnt feel was "good enough" or whatever. You could watch people's post count drop by 20 about once a week.

I don't see that happening, but i think i wouldnt be a good red-blooded american if i didnt whine about my freedom.

*please, no flames.

Scott, I don't think we've ever had a post deleted at all, so I'm not sure I understand what freedom you're worried about losing...
