STi suspension is pretty great. I recommend it.

An equally retarded method.

With the direction he had the top nut facing, its too bad he didn't sterilize himself.
I've done this, in a pinch. But had the top nut facing a wall and the strut 'aimed' away from me. It's hard on the strut rod threads, though.

I can second that. I just put '04 STi stuff under my '95 wagon. Its better.

Ha ha!! that's great! Reminds me of setting off airbags. If you go to lowering springs, you won't need the compressor at all. Just your body weight to get the nut started. I've done that once too wen i was younger. Just wrapped it up in a blanket.

The only thing I got in that video was 30 extra mins of my life from not dealing with strut compressors.

I meant it to be mostly entertainment. You WILL fuck up the threads of the strut shaft if you don't have a impact undoing that nut at warp speed.

A lot of strut and spring combos, like florin said, can be assembled with body weight. After I noticed I could do these with my measly 165 lbs I decided this was not a shortcut that I could win a Darwin Award with.

Nice music.....is it BT? I recognize the track, but don't recall at the moment where it's from.

I thought it was something from Binary Universe, myself.

Now I remember where I heard it.....It's the last track on Sasha & Digweed's Northern Exposure 2 East Coast Edition CD. That came out in 1997...wow! I think I picked it up around 98.

After looking back at the cd cover, this track was labeled just Symphony. Looks like there have been quite a few remixes of this track.

If done that no biggie?! When I put on my h and r springs as mentioned you just use body weight to reassemble.
