Looking for The coolant fill tank on the top of the the engine. This is for a 94 Turbo wagon.
I'm in Calgary, AB CAN, and looking for something cheap, quick and hopefully close.
Let me know what you got! Thanks

Re: WTB: Coolant Fill Tank
Have you looked into a metal or newer plastic WRX coolant tank? They're much easier to find and have the same hose connections. Only downfall is you need some sort of DIY bracket to hold it in place. And then you need some extra bulk hose and brass couplers since stock ones don't have any slack. But if you look at it its really not hard to do. And the metal tanks can crush plastic ones.... Literally!

Re: WTB: Coolant Fill Tank
Good advice, thanks. Is there any specific years that you'd know that would fit better than others or any information on anyone who has done this? I'll do some searching around too. Cheers
Re: WTB: Coolant Fill Tank
For certain, any 2002-2008 tank will work. I think either 08 or 09 they switched back to plastic, and I've heard on NASIOC that they supercede the metal ones (meaning this is what you'll get from the dealer for any year WRX). Newer ones are likely the same, but I haven't confirmed. The design is the same as the '96 and newer WRX overseas.
I personally like the metal ones as they will never break. Their only weakness is that the top bolts on and is sealed with RTV or something similar. With old age the bolts can corrode and the gasket can leak, but its easily fixable unlike the plastic ones, which just break and leave your car lifeless pissing coolant on your garage floor.
I have one on my car right now. With the extra hose it looks kinda out of place, especially since it sits off to the side from the stock location on my car. But it works great. I have pics on my phone and no way to upload them at the moment (posting this from my phone right now). Not to mention that my pics show it being held in with zipties in lieu of a bracket.... I needed it done fast

Re: WTB: Coolant Fill Tank
See I'm also in kind of a rush, plus I'm in the middle of getting an '07 STI TMIC. So I think relocation will probably be a huge benefit and possibly going to an aftermarket one since it would be more likely to get in town. Opinions?? Or should I look into just going with the WRX version?

Re: WTB: Coolant Fill Tank
If you need it fixed yesterday and don't have the TMIC installed yet, it might be worth it just get the stock one now if you like the price, just so it plops right in and gets you driving again. You can always get a WRX one later if you need it, since they pop up constantly for cheap on eBay and NASIOC. Then you can hold on to the stock one for the next guy who has this problem...
