1994 Legacy wagon (turbo awd)
i'm about to buy some rims they are 17x8, 5x100 bolt pattern.
In that size, they come in either a 48 or 35 offset.
I am willing to roll fenders worse case scenario.
The biggest tire size i will do is 225/45/17.
Which would be the best offset choice? I dont want to roll fenders, but if i have to i will.
I am more concerned about the tire/wheel rubbing against the strut.
Will a 35 offset make the wheel look odd?
If i don't get the 17x8 wheel, they have it in 17x7 with a 48 offset. I'm still not sure if that will fit my car. On nasioc there was a thread about offsets, tire sizes and widths, but I can't seem to find it again.
Sorry if this was covered in a previous post, but i searched for it and only found the posts of what everyone has and i havent seen anyone run a 17x8 wheel. Thanks for any information.

Re: 17x8 Rim offset and tire size question
ive got 17x8 advans with a 45 offset on my 94 wagon, with a 245 40 17 tire. Fits awesome, minor fender rolling, tires/wheels are flush with the fenders. Search my name for pics.

Re: 17x8 Rim offset and tire size question
thanks guys for the input. it was very helpful.
And to deride, i see that the tire is rubbing up against the strut in that one pick? or is that my eyes deceiving me?
Anyways, I will be ordering some 17" spinners tomorrow... lol j/k. =)

Re: 17x8 Rim offset and tire size question
Yeah....I'd definitely suggest the +45mm over the +35mm
