Rally trip turns out, well, eventful.

Post by zagarus »

Well a couple months back after I got the car running great I decided to go out for a little backroad excursion. If anyone know the area this road goes from Kamloops to Savona on the North side of Kamloops Lake. Well there is one corner, actually I shouldn't even say corner. It's more of a narrowing crest around a blind corner. Anyway I always slow down for this corner because you never know if you will meet traffic and there isn't much room for two vehicles to pass each other. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves:

I ended coming around the corner quicker than normal when all of sudden there is a pickup truck in front of me. Well I ended up braking and I tried to sneak by him but he had a trailer that took another two feet of space and well I ended up off the road. Thankfully it didn't roll and shortly after they left me to figure out how to get out I managed to backup and drive down the hill (after removing a chuck of fence to drive through). Car came out without a scratch and I continued on my journey. Subaru FTW!!!!

As a side note it is now a 5spd :D

After sliding off the road, not rolling and becoming a 5spd is the best result you could have hoped for. :P

Good to see you were able to save it, I thought this was going be another wreck picture!

Yeah, those pictures are really nice. I don't know anything about photography, but man that looks good. Nice color on your car as well. LUCKY

Thanks on the compliments for the pics, I actually just bought a new camera as well a canon eos 60d. I'm sort of a photo nut and can't wait for car events this summer, gonna make my summer car better than it was last year :)

haha ya I put it back together. I ended up taking the barbs out of two of the posts and then I put my trunk carpet and a floor mat over the fence wire when I drove over just in case I drove over any barbs lol.
