I like what you did with the factory bumper turn signals... when i had my 91 wagon i converted my corner lamps to turn signals since i had an FMIC. Couldn't use my bumper lights with my piping, and colder air was much more important. :)

They look like they should work. If they hit your lens when you try to reset it, just bore out the hole on the back a little bigger. Mine cleared by a lot once i did that. Then i ran two sheet metal screws trough the headlight housing and trough the projector housing to keep it in place, and epoxied it. I'll take a picture if you need to see.

Funny part is i bought some EDM lights for it, but now i like the projectors more. I'll probably take the glass lenses off them and put them on mine, for an even cleaner look...

Yeah Audi TT. Fogs/Headlights both. I didn't use anything to re seal. Just baked them at 190* for another 15 minutes, and set the lenses back on, and re installed the 4 metal clips that hold the lens to housing.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!!

Night and day... I actually haven't tested them in the rain yet since the car has been out of commission for a week or so. But when i did drive at night (it was dry) there was a huge difference IMO.

Florin,

What kind of backscatter do you get, if any? I know the fluting on the lenses are going to adjust the cutoff line a bit, but just curious how well the projectors output light through the stock lenses.

Concerning the headlight lens covers, and hids. It would improve spread and useable lumans/ and the look of the cover if u sanded the inside flat with 400 grit and apply a layer of clear coat. As well as the outside if not already done. With the proper power tool it could be nearly effortless? :)
91 Lookin good, i would love to see an updated rear spoiler thou. And the front lip is great, im picturing it painted to match the car and possibly another narrow black simple lip like {the home depot garden fencing mod i think it is} but any way/ Im just tryin to help w ideas . Again Great build- peace

Very cool. I have my sedan totally apart and was looking for something like this and WOW this is what I needed. Has anyone tried to make clear lenses? I am trying to figure out a mold or something if it is even possible so flutes wont be in the way. Just curious.

Nice job! Thanks

Hi Josh. What exactly do you mean by backscatter? The lights do not reflect where they shouldn't, and the beams are very full and evenly dispersed. I'd say twice as good as with the old lights.

For the other comment, yes i did sand and clearcoat the outside of the lens. I have not thought about doing the inside. That is a great idea. Those reflector ridges are pretty big, do you think 400 grit would work them flat? What kind of tool would you use? Only tool i have is a 5" DA sander, which i believe is too big to get close to the corners.

Josh, here is a pic i snapped last night on my old cell phone. You get an idea on light distribution.

Can you get a pic of the lights shining on a wall?

I guess backscatter wasn't the right term....but rather overall light scattering. A pic on a wall would help show that.

Regarding the fluting, I'd use a 90 degree sander. Something like this:

or

You'll likely need something with a little more grit. I'd start with the lowest wet/dry they have, probably 220. You'll have to increasingly go up in grit to get rid of the previous sanding's marks, and then polish with rubbing compound.
