I'd caution you tackling a rebuild on an auto yourself. Not saying it can't be done, but there's so many little things just on the valve body, like this ball goes here, this spring goes here, that unless you have a very detailed manual and/or some experience, the likelihood of things get put back together incorrectly is pretty high.

I watched a guy rebuild the valve body, and add a shift kit on my car a couple years back. Like I said, there were a lot of little tiny parts that are very easily lost or misplaced where they should go.
