preheat to 200 and let bake for 15 mins
pull apart mask off the center area and paint the outer sides
bake every thing to put it back together

So you did 200 degrees f? The reason I ask is I've heard a lot of ppl only do 150. The 200 didn't destort them at all did they? My oven only goes down to 200 I can reach 150 so that's why I'm asking I've been wanting to black out my head lights I just don't want to melt them.

they wont melt unless you get sidetracked

I used a heat gun. You could probably use a hair dryer. All you need to do is soften the adhesive/gasket enough to pull the lens off. I used the minimum heat to loosen one end, pulled it by hand, stuck a screwdriver between to hold them apart, then did the other side. Just watch the strings from the adhesive getting on the lens.
