Clutch problem 2001 Legacy Wagon
We have a 2001 Legacy Wagon w 200000 KM. Otherwise in great shape. Problem - Clutch depressed all the way down and does not return at all. Did jack rabbit start in 1st gear to get us home but unable to switch gears. I'm told that it is likely the clutch slave cylinder or Master. Any thoughts? Is it hard to replace? Can you recommend a Toronto area Subaru shop? Don't really want to pay for Dealer shop rates.

Welcome to the BBS.
I would agree, it's probably the clutch master or slave cylinder. They're not too hard to replace. You'll need to bleed the clutch afterwards. Depending on your mechanical ability, it may be something you could do yourself.
