Could Spectre be the new coffee cup?
I was at Advanced today picking up headlight bulbs for the wife's Volvo V70 XC and I saw a new display featuring products by Spectre Performance www.spectreperformance.com . It's a company that advertises that you can use it's line of hoses, clamps, tubes, filters, etc to "Build your own custom intake!" I didn't have a chance to check if they had adapters in the exact measurements for the two sizes necessary to re-create the coffee cup's top/bottom and if the needed bung(s) could be adapted, but if I get a chance to look soon I'll let everyone know what I find out. If anyone has the sizes of the top/bottom of the coffee cup it'd make checking easier.

I started to do that at first, probably won't be able to get the smaller hoses right though. It was cheaper for me to just have an exhaust shop make one for me.

What'd the exhaust shop fab it out of, and how'd you mount the hose bungs on there?

He used a 2.5"(?) exhaust pipe, widened one side to 3", I believe the smaller hose bung was a transmission line, the larger one I got from a machine shop.soobrdad02 wrote:What'd the exhaust shop fab it out of, and how'd you mount the hose bungs on there?
IIRC those are the right sizes at least...
It was an independent shop though, run by one dude, you might have a hard time getting a normal shop to do it.

Also, just to let you know the centerline of the inlet and outlet are offset just a little bit. It's probably not enough to make a huge deal.

I'll have to check out that offset. If it looks doable, I'm going for it, and if I do I'll take some pics and post 'em up!
