i did a lil searching, couldnt find too much, what options do i have for performance clutch kits for a 91 n/a cable tranny, the exedy stage 1 only came for the hydro turbo trannys?
the pressure plate differs from the hydro and cable right?

Re: cable clutch options
Turbo stuff won't work.
You're best bet is to look for performance clutches for the 98-01 2.5 RS. Get the flywheel, clutch, etc for the 2.5. The only thing you may need to be aware of is that the 2.5 used a hydraulic clutch, so it may have a stiffer pressure plate, which may translate into a stiffer than desired clutch pedal on a cable trans.

Re: cable clutch options
how much stiffer? i had a stage 2 clutch in a cable B-series integra tranny, that was stiff, but definately streetable. any input cable tranny guys???
Re: cable clutch options
I'm not sure how stiff. See if you can find any info on what the clamping force is for the normal Legacy cable transmissions and then compare that to whatever you find for either an impreza or later gen legacy.

Re: cable clutch options
I run a 94 na cable tranny behind a 93 EJ22T and have a Spec Stage 1 for 1990 to 2002 2.2L non-turbo. I used the na flywheel. I like how it feels, pedal doesn't seem much stiffer than stock. It takes a little getting used to for smooth starts, but not an "on-off" by any means, I get the occasional drivetrain shudder if I let out too quick. Definitely grabs firm. I've put 20,000 miles on it with no problems.
Bought it here, was the cheapest I could find at the time:

Re: cable clutch options
I'd recommend getting this tranquil sleeve. It helps with clutch shudder, especially when the transmission snout is worn. It replaces the standard throw out bearing.

Re: cable clutch options
that spec clutch looks like a good deal, i got the matching n/a flywheel with that tranny, so ill get it resurfaced and use it. i wanted to get a lightened fly but its not in the budget.
