Windshield molding removal

Post by Subiel94 »

Hey everyone so I got a new windshield and well the guythat installed my windshield broke all the clips to the passenger side molding. I found that out after going 50 down the road and it flying off my car. It was AWESOME. Not just luckily there was no car behind me. Anyways I'm gonna go to the junkyard and pick up a new molding so does anyone have any tips at all how to remove the plastic piece so I can save the clips? And keep it all in good shape. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

I did the rear molding on my wagon with a screwdriver and paint scraper with electrical tape to protect the paint, however, I don't think there's any way to get the molding back on as even being careful curled it up. I don't know if that helps or what.

The trim on each side of the windshield is supposed to be removed by pulling the weatherstripping off and removing the screws that hold the rail and trim on.

I had a car where some windshield hack, I mean tech, broke it in the same fashion.
