Air suspension on 93 Legacy

I am having a problem with the suspension on my 93 Legacy LS AWD wagon. The rear right bag sounds like it is leaking and the car is sitting on the ground. It is possible that the strut has rusted out and this is why the bag is leaking? Or is the bag a sealed unit and not affected by the strut? I am located in Toronto and am trying to find the best way to get my ride back on the road. Thanks!

As far as I know, it's a one-piece unit, if the bag is shot, then the whole strut needs to be replaced. If you can get the air hoses off, try squirting some Slime for tires into the strut, a lot of Audi Allroad owners swear by this fix. The Slime forms plugs in any holes in the rubber air bag... work it around by raising & lowering the suspension a few times & driving around while doing it.
I think Subaru still stocks new ones, but I'm afraid to ask what they cost. My car had them replaced before I bought it.

ya the airbag suspension is all one piece and are very costly to replace with new. I ended up taking my air suspension out and replacing it with the strut spring for way cheaper.

I have read that some people spray tire sealant into the bag. I figure I may as well give this a shot. Do you know where the air hose goes into the bag? I took the wheel off, but I can't figure it out. That is where I plan to shoot the sealant in.

you will most likely have to take out the rear speaker panel and speaker. the air hose should be on the top of the strut. MAKE SURE YOUR RIDE HEIGHT IS IN LOW POSITION!!!
