Hello everyone, just wanted to share my 93 Legacy SS I built.

I just got it running on the new turbo setup and new motor rebuild so its only at 8psi right now, but it pulls really good for that little boost compared to the VF11 it was a nice upgrade. I'm working on the body next, along with a larger WRX hood scoop, 3-inch catless turboback exhaust, 15psi boost, and some other goodies.

Let me know what you think.

Also I'm having trouble finding a hose to reuse the stock BPV, right now im running a STI stock BPV vented to atom. and it sounds cool but sometimes the idle is rough so I would like to fit the stock BPV and plumb it to recirc. But I can't find a hose that can go from the Flange I have which is 2" to the stock BPV hose thats 1"

Any tricks?

As far as the BPV goes order the Wynton Motors BPV adapter off EBAY, not there website. For some weird reason I did and they didn't claim my payment for 2 weeks and I could not get ahold of them, then I cancelled the order and bought it off Wynton on Ebay and got it a few days later

I just brazed a brass reducing barbed fitting that dropped to 3/4 (?) in the aluminium. Just use JB Weld as I partially melted the aluminium It was like a 1" MPTx 3/4" barbed fitting, dropped right inside the adapter.

So you must have done the Snorkus ( intake ) delete, next I would do the Turbo silencer delete while you got the JB weld out and put some fittings in a coffee cup or 3"-2" (?) muffler reducer. Search Coffee Cup Mod.

Get them vinyl wrapped instead... you will be able to go back and forth rather than make it permanent!

nice build! just FYI your rotors are on backwards, the slots should be facing towards the front not towards the back, thats a good way to warp expensive slotted rotors. right now those slots are doing nothing for you. Otherwise a VERY nice looking SS, you even managed to use the lines on the IC, nice touch!

CFK your setup is exactly how i'd like mine to look, nice intake piece too.

Rotor slots can face forwards or backwards. The only real determination of rotor directionality is if the rotor has directional cooling vanes. Otherwise, the slot directionality is arbitrary and based on hear-say and internet lore

I read once that the real purpose of slotted rotors was the continuously grind the surface down on the pads to keep them from glazing and the pads are done in no time but they're used on race cars so it's not a problem to replace the pads every race. Whereas on street cars the edges are not sharp and they're just there for looks. Is this true?

There are two main things slotting on rotors do, one is to wipe the pad surface to prevent glazing and junk from building up. The other thing it does is provide an escape for pads that out-gas under heavy braking. The thing is most new pads do not out-gas, so the advantages of slotting on newer pads are not as great. The slotting also helps improve initial pad bite, but it's not significant.
