Idle Air Control Valve *Help*

Hi All,

I have replaced my stock 1997 EJ20E with a stock 1997 EJ25D - Long story but I have one question...

I am getting a CEL code about the IAC.

Does anyone know where the IAC would have been located on the EJ20E vs the EJ25D?

Hi,
We didn't get the EJ20 in the US....you might have better luck looking on UK/Aussie forums....I 'googled' it and not getting much. Also, search on Ebay for your engine and check out the pics.

Both the Ej20 and EJ25 are Non-Turbo

It is likely to be in one of two places, but this is most likely where it's located.

The IAC is the one with the tan top on it.

If it's not in that spot, look for something like that somewhere else on the intake manifold. If there isn't anything like that, it's possible you have the new style IAC valve which is located on the throttle body itself.

Hey man thanks for that - thats exactly where and what I was looking for. Now the interesting task of trying to find a new one...

Parts in South Africa are damn expensive, will hopefully be able to get one at a scrapyard I found recently.
