Hey guys,
Just joined up here after being on USMB since 2007 and DI for the past year. Just wanted to open a thread and say Hello. Mods, I'm not sure if this is the proper place for this as I did look around before posting. Let me know if this isn't the right spot.
Anyway, I own two Subarus:
'92 Loyale Lifted with offroad goodies
'95 Legacy (Duel Port EJ22) Outback struts/forester springs and soon to be 16" OB wheels.
I'm sure I will see some USMB faces around here, so chime in if you see this.
Cheers,
-Tom

Hi Mike,
Its an OBD-II '95 Legacy Outback (The pre-outback as we call it) it has (Had) the outback two-tone paint and the GT 15" style alloys, but had Legacy struts and the front/rear bumpers. The Seats were a little different, but other then that is basiclly a glammed up Legacy (Which they still are
)
But yeah, This motor is still a Duel-Port like the first gen engines.

The EA82 which I am doing a resto/rust proof on at the moment. Just had the hood and fenders repainted for $800 and then I POR-15ed the back sides of them and the hood. I have POR-15ed the entire underside of the car and am continuing to do so.

That Loyale looks pretty badass!
Another good thing to do for rust protection on top of the POR 15 is rubberized undercoating. My Legacy, which I thought was going to be a rusted mess when I started to take it apart, turned out to be in great shape because I undercoated the wheel wells and undercarriage and touched them up every spring after the winter sandblasting. Now undergoing a long restoration, I'm using POR 15 when necessary, zinc primer, & undercoating or paint depending on what it is.

Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

Yep totally follow you there, I always repaint the underside of the car every spring and/or touch it up during the year.evolutionmovement wrote:That Loyale looks pretty badass!

Thanks for the comments guys and glad I joined!
Also, as of today, I am now rolling on 16" 2000 Outback wheels and Dunlop SP-60s for free!
