How much was the vinyl? There's some company that said they'd wrap my roof for 169

Vinyl cost me $95 shipped. That's is including the vinyl to wrap my side skirts which the guy sent me gloss black instead of matte black like I asked for.

No paint on the side skirts. Don't want it chipping and fading. I'm just probably going to sand the paint off and leave them bare plastic like the front lip.

Painting it was my friend's idea. He said he already has black paint and clear coat and he's all set up to paint so why not. lol

The skirts will fade even as bare plastic. It's the effect of UV exposure.

What about some spray-on undercoating? Its not as thick, comes in black, and would protect the skirts.

Little update. Just got my new ASI silicone MAF hose to go with my new airbox from a twin turbo legacy. I never wanted to use that stupid cone filter but didn't have a choice as these airboxes are really hard to come by. I cut the previous hose short to fit the cone filter since it was so big.

Thanks guys I like it. Unfortunately I can no long hear my turbo anymore. :( I kind of liked that sound. Especially fun to pass people and shift right when you pass them so they'd hear the compressor surge. Heh Heh. Oh well it's gone now and I'm not going back. You can BARELY hear the whistle if you really listen for it and the music is off. Crazy how much difference that made.

Thanks Danny, I have been slacking on the mods lately. Been trying to get my business started and working on other things and the lawn mower accident put me out of work for 2 weeks and couldn't get anything done. I have many more plans though so stay tuned.

I plan to go to WCSS but I dunno. I need to rebuild my steering rack and my wheel bearings are taking a shit on me so those need to be replaced. I just bought a hydraulic 20 ton shop press so I can do wheel bearings myself but when I priced out the rebuild parts for the rack and the bearings and seals it was over $700 in parts! I have the money but kind of need it to invest in my business.

Still dealing with this false knock problem as well which bums me out. But I did turn the boost up to 17 lbs and that made the fun factor go up a little but I wish I had a lot more power still. To me it's kind of slow actually. At first it seemed fast but that wore off relatively quick.

I would like to go to the big NW meet but I dunno. I'd have to drive up there and leave a little early to be back in olympia by 7pm to go to work. And I'd be up all day and most of the night. Not good because I fall asleep easy driving.

Is your ABS Acive? if so then you can grab any 89-94 hub with the abs sensor, if not you can grab ANY hub. if im correct, i think any impreza hub will work as well as gen 2 legacy as long as the back hubs are AWD.

yeah then you'll have to get a hub from an ABS car, but either way it's all pretty much interchangable

I can confirm that abs equipped GC/GF, SF, and BC/BD/BG Subaru hubs are interchangeable. Well, except for the late SF's like Florin's 01? where the ABS tone ring is on the axles.

Have you done the snorkus delete inside the wheel well?

Can't tell from looking at the cone filter pic.

If not done yet, do it. You will get some sound back.

Yeah I've read lots of people do that. I don't really feel like messing with it though lol.

I'm almost convinced the knock problem I have is actually piston slap. It goes away when it warms up and only does it when not in boost up hills mostly and only in 2"-8" vac. Maybe not though? I don't know what piston slap is supposed to sound like. Is it a constant noise? Because if so, then that's not it. If you listen to the knock sensor with mechanics stethoscope you can hear it but it's not constant. It happens every rev or every 2 or 3 revs you do with the throttle. Just one knock sound. I would imagine piston slap to be constant knocking or ticking or something since it would probably be every time the piston goes up and down.

On another note I bought a cool little 3 cylinder FWD Justy. Kind of a fun little car. Gonna sell it for $1,200 I hope. I'm replacing the windshield with a non-cracked one that it came with. I'll get a couple pictures of it up soon. Gotta get a hold of a guy I just met who has a few of them that I need parts from like a dome light, seat, some interior panels, etc.

No way. The metro has way more power even though it's rated at 15hp less and it runs like a top. This justy bogs down if I push the accelerator in too much and has no power at all until after 3K! I don't know if that's the carb or the timing or the belt is off or what. I'm new to carbureted engines. The metro is in far better shape and worth much more than the justy. It's a cool car nonetheless and I'm having fun driving it. Tomorrow I'm replacing the windshield and I have a friend who's got some justys and this one has a bunch of missing parts so I'm hoping he's got the hookup.

There's a fuel injected justy that just hit the lot in lynnwood - it has the 3cyl, fwd, 5mt and an intake and exhaust. Believe u me, this thing was peppy, but i've never driven a metro though.
