WRX springs.
I know this has probably been covered but I searched and got sick of reading so here it is. Will WRX springs work on my 92 turbo? I know I have the non-tapered rear springs, so is there any issues?

I seem to recall WRX front springs not fitting correctly when some friends of mine were trying to assemble a front strut for my car. I can't say for sure that they were doing everything right though.
One thing to consider is that the WRX is noticeably more nose-heavy than our cars; all published data (however reliable or unreliable it may be) seems to indicate that rear WRX springs are significantly softer than rear stock Legacy springs. So WRX rear springs may not be an upgrade.
A possibility might be to use WRX front springs on both the front and rear of a Legacy...
If it does work well, I'd be very interested in knowing it... I've got two sets of WRX springs in my garage going unused.

yes they fit.
the stock wrx wagon spring rates are slightly lower than the legacy ss. but the sedan is a bit higher in the rear. a gc rs actually had higher spring rates than a wrx wagon. now that makes no sence.
but from my experience the wrx wagon suspension was set up horribally from the factory.

Because I wasn't really thinking when I said that, I was thinking front hard rear softer, then something else popped into my mind. And that jumped out.vrg3 wrote:Why would you want to reduce your front spring rate so much?

I'm not going to put stock WRX springs on but I may have a line on some pretty cheap aftermarket WRX springs and just wanted to make sure they would fit. =)

I just did a search for what you wrote earlier and guess what...I was the one that asked you about them last time. <Ryan opens his mouth and inserts his foot>
So...yeah, either I didn't read it, or I'm becoming senile. Sorry about the double question thing.
