04-06 STi Yellows 550cc or 535cc??
Hey fellas,
Im getting some mixed info here on the 04-06 STi Yellow Side Feeds. To my knowledge, I thought they were 550cc. But according to this
"FAQ" sheet on NASIOC, they are said to be 535cc.
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthr ... ?t=1218460
**Is there a list of side feed injector sizes for the 2004-2006 STI?
OEM 2004-2006 STi 535 cc
DeatschWerks 650 cc
DeatschWerks 740 cc
Ultimate Racing 785 cc*
Perrin 817 cc (modified stock injectors)
Agency Power 817 cc (modified stock injectors)
Power Enterprise 850 cc
DeatschWerks 850 cc
Helix 860 cc
Ultimate Racing 900 cc*
Ultimate Racing 1000 cc*
Ultimate Racing 1260 cc*
Ultimate Racing 1600 cc*
*Ultimate Racing STI injectors are top feed injectors with a rail conversion kit to allow them to work as side feeds. They are also low impedance and come with a resistor pack kit to allow them to work as high impedance.**
Could someone enlighten me on why its noted that these injectors could be 535cc instead of 550cc?
*In the process of getting some '04 STi Yellow Side Feeds. Also, to be sure, you have to run these injectors with Legacy N/A fuel rails, correct? Any specific year or model of N/A fuel rails? And would any other fuel rails work with the EJ22T intake manifold? Do the electrical plug mate as well to my main harness, or would I need new adapter plugs for the STi Yellows?
Im currently running 440cc Greys.
Thanks in advance.
Jimmy

Well, I think Im going to pick up the 04 STi Yellow Side Feeds, send them off to Witchhunters for a flow test, and then let the tuning begin.
Please feel free to post thoughts and inputs.

Jimmy,
The STi yellow side feeds are "rated" at 550 cc/min. However most flow less than that.
I've got the bench flow results from the ones I'm using now, and the results indicate that. I'll see if I can get that scanned in and posted for you.

Thanks Josh for the input and move.
STi Yellows are on the way. Then they'll be sent off to Witch Hunters for flow testing, cleaning, and seal pack. My roommate sent his injectors to him, glad to hear a local of his and your experience.

I compared the fuel rails that came off of my wife's 98 2.2 to the 92-94 NA rails and visibly they looked the same....can anyone confirm this?

The guys @ revtronix said they mostly flow @ 550cc sometimes a little less.
BTW... on that PDF you just posted they say you should always lube o-rings prior to installation, what do you lube the o-rings with?

Re: 04-06 STi Yellows 550cc or 535cc??
i got some 800cc modified sti injectors from witchhunter. my tuner is concerned that though they did flow test at 2500 rpm, that they may run into issues running it at idle.
witchhunter? or DeatschWerks?
what are the differences in their modification? both are modified sti injectors.
thanks in advance.

My 890's idled just fine.
Keep in mind that timing is also a major factor in your idle. If people can get 2000cc saturated injectrors to ide ok, you can get 800cc injectors to idle.

Re: 04-06 STi Yellows 550cc or 535cc??
the "550" yellowtop sti injectors are really only 525cc i dont know why everyone calls them 550s. i have them in my car and ive even had them cleaned and flowtested and thy were indeed 525cc not 550.

It really depends on the injectors. Mine flow tested around 550.

Hmm interesting. Rob was the one who told me they were actually 525cc and that he had some tested and I then had mine tested as well and he was right.
