sun roof problems

So i got a 93 ss. the sun roof will open some of the time and will never close unless i close it manually. i havent checked to see if there is voltage at the switches. have any of you guys had this problem. is it the switches that are bad or is the motor thats bad.

im going to take a guess and say its most likely the switch.

I think for the most part it is the motor, or just maybe a grounding issue.

You might take off the headliner and take a look.

THAT WAY YOU CAN LOOK AT BOTH SWITCHES AND MOTOR

I have issues with mine as well. It sounds like a switch/wire problem. Try giving an open hand love pat to the roof just behind the dome light while holding down the close button.

If that doesn't jolt the motor awake, check for continuity of the close switch as well as power at the harness.

Those are two (or three for those keeping track) quick tests you can do before tearing apart your headliner
