So I bought a set of plugs and wires
Passenger side was a breeze to change,
Driver side was more difficult, I was not able to get the rear plug out.
So I changed 3 plugs and brand new wires, and the new wires don't sit on the plugs 'snuggly'.
Car starts and dies.
Any idea on how to replace the driver side plugs? And any cure for the wires not sitting nicely?
And what are the torque specs on the plugs?
Thanks

Re: changed plugs and wires, but stutters and dies
I always remove the windshield washer reservoir. They come right out. I can tell by feel on tightness, but usually tell people do them hand tight, then go about 1/4 to 1/3 turn. And i usually give the ends of the wires a light squeeze with needle nose pliers just to make sure they are snug. Just a very little bit though, dont deform the ends.

Did you use the pilers outside of the boot, or did you manage to get inside the boot?

I second the suggestion to remove the windshield washer tank. You've got a direct line of site to that back plug with it out.
The spark plug wires need to snap onto the spark plugs. You should feel and/or hear the wires snap into place.

I hope you used Subaru plug wire from a dealer, and that you chose NGK plugs..
If not, you will need to redo this job going thee way we all say.

I forgot to plug a vacuum hose back, now everything works.
I used basic no name brand plugs and ACdelco wires.
They are better than the 1993 OEM wires that were in there, that's for sure.

Updates:
Battery, Brake, and ABS light is on after the replacement parts going in. Any ideas?
Should I just reset the codes?

You gotta go ngk on everything. Ive used every brand under the sun on everything from bmw to toyota, and ngk is the best for japanese vehicles. You WILL notice a difference. Make sure your plugs are gapped right too, very important but often overlooked step.

culprit - failing alternator - new wires draws too much power causing the 18 year old alternator to, die today.
