Re: Who Wants to Play a Game? (Color Codes)
Lol, yeah, in any case, it would have been nice if he had figured out another method, but i guess that's how it goes.
This is the set i bought:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Subaru-5 ... 679wt_1062
I think i have set of these too:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Subaru-5 ... 679wt_1062
The seller took forever to get them to me, but at least he was honest. They seem like they're ok quality. They let you choose a color and they send you two stickers for each order.

Re: Who Wants to Play a Game? (Color Codes)
That's pretty sweet. How's it looking these days and how long have you had it on there?
I found a reflective set of Subaru stickers one time. That seems like it'd be fun

Re: Who Wants to Play a Game? (Color Codes)
It still looks fine, it's been on for about 5 months? but it was a test run, i didn't do all the prep right and that jazz, but honestly for 8 bucks or what ever for 2, it was worthwhile to get them just to cover the stratch. i think i have a total of 5 left because he accidentally sent me one set twice.

Alright, I'm going to start cheating on this. If members who actually own these colors and years show up, we can replace these posts with member cars.

Re: Who Wants to Play a Game? (Color Codes)
Kimo! I was wondering where yours was! Thanks!
Perfect timing too, the other example we had of that color code from that year (davidson 5139's) must have been removed from its hosting.
If members want to host pictures for this thread I can host them on my domain. Just send the pictures my way and I'll give you a link to your hosted picture.

Re: Who Wants to Play a Game? (Color Codes)
I can get pictures of a pearl white '94 wagon. Can't get a picture of the color code though. I've seen it running around town. Its one of the limited production '94 wagons, I think its a TI.

If you're sure of it's color and year then that would be swell Danny. Thanks for the help.

Re: Who Wants to Play a Game? (Color Codes)
I never saw this thread until yesterday. I never knew the color code to my car either. How do they get the pearl look? Is it in the clear coat or the base coat?

Re: Who Wants to Play a Game? (Color Codes)
Looks like I found the answer over on paintscratch.com:
To match properly, this paint is a tricoat with three different layers of paint composed of a basecoat/midcoat/clearcoat. The basecoat is the the actual paint color, the midcoat is a tinted clearcoat applied over the basecoat. The final layer is the clearcoat. When you order the tricoat paint below, we ship the basecoat and midcoat. If you have an unpainted/bare area, you should order the primer, either metal primer (for metal) or rubberized primer (non-metal areas). If you just need supplies and not basecoat/midcoat, use the Store link above.
$77.65 just for the paint and clear! That's just one spray can of each too. Damn. Only $52.70 for the Ceramic White 57.

Re: Who Wants to Play a Game? (Color Codes)
I'm sure its a '94. Its got black door handles, a turbo grille, something is different inside, and the paint is definatly a pearl white. I want the door handles from it really bad. lol

Re: Who Wants to Play a Game? (Color Codes)
Danny I will buy those door handles if in fact it really is pearl. I bought a set from another member and they turned out to be arctic white and did not match my car at all. I've never seen a pearl white car that wasn't prefacelift though.

Re: Who Wants to Play a Game? (Color Codes)
Kimo - Thanks, I was looking for that explanation too. I guess that's why the color codes are three numbers? Maybe...
Danny - Sweet, get a shot of it and post it.
Mike - I know, I'm a terrible person. I asked about you when I was in, but the lady working the register said you didn't work there any more. She said that you were the only person she missed though, and that if i needed you she could "contact" you. Oh my!

Just realized I actually have never posted in here!
Here's a Crimson Pearl 1994 for you. Pretty rare color, being a 1 year option.
